Here comes Amos on the Zip Line!!

They're pulling me up for the swing!

I love the Life Quest Park. It's in Guntersville just over the big river bridge. They have 4 zip lines a giant swing! Two of the zips & the swing takes you out over the Guntersville Lake! My friend Amy & her boys met up the end of July to give this a try.....I know Jeff got tired of me talking about this for days!!! Did I say I loved it! This was the first time they opened up to the public. It was Moonlight Madness! YES! at night!!....it was from 8-12 p.m., we was this first group thru we walked outta there about 10:30 p.m. It was so hot that night ..No air was stirring!!! WE HAD A GREAT TRIP TO THE MOUNTAINS W/ THE MILLER'S! MR. MILLER IS A GREAT TOUR GUIDE. I THINK THE PARK SHOULD HIRE HIM,HE'D BE A GREAT ASSET TO THEM. MRS. MILLER IS A PICNICKING-PRO ALSO! WE RODE OUR BIKES AND TUBED THE ICY CREEK! WE RODE THRU CADES COVES SEVERAL TIMES TOO! WE HAD VISITS FROM BEARS HUNTING SOME TRASH AROUND CANS CLOSE TO OUR CABIN! HE WAS BIG!!! WE SAW LOTS OF DEER & TURKEYS. WE HAD THE CUTEST CABIN NAMED "BEARLY BELIVABLE"

POND RIDE~

Granny has went on her first pond stroll since her fall!!! Jeff rode her to the pond late yesterday after it cooled off a little. She's doing great! You can see by Cocoa's wagging tail, she's happy to see her! She escorted her all the way to the front door!

YARRRRD SALEEEE!!

I found this snazzy old platter for .50 cents at a yard sale this weekend! I brought her home & gave her a good washing. I cut a vinyl big red "w" with my handy dandy Cricut. TA-DA!

I think mushrooms are neat......& good to EAT! I'm not testing any of these....I spotted them in our yard. Jeff will shred them soon, while speeding around on his mowing machine!

Crappie Hunt w/ D-Butter

We love to be on the water at sunrise to hunt {sniff} out those tasty crappie! I caught a 1 or 2. Dylan & Jefferson filled the live well UP!!!!

I have always love, love, loved these old vintage metal porch sets!

We where down at my Sis-in-laws Kathy house, last summer

when I viewed it from afar.....

It was the color of a melted Hersey bar,

a good o'faded brown!

I shrieked to the top of my lungs!

It was just beautiful sitting there....

Then she told me the tale about it.

She has rental property and got the

whole set glider w/2 chairs for lovely $15.00!!!

WHAT????

That's $5. apiece......OH-ME!

She told us to load it up & bring it home.

Jeff can tell you he hasn't had a moment of peace

until we got it home.

We had it sand blasted.

Jeff painted it a

beautiful coat of crispy white!!

I added some thrift store pillows

& the rest is history!

Well, Cocoa's dog food is in the mower barn next to the air compressor. So, the last few times I've gone to feed that sweet girl I've had to "DUCK" cause of a low flying "747" airplane coming outta there! It turns out it's a healthy moma dove! She's made a nest in a vegetable basket on the top shelf w/ my flower pots! I love to look at birds nest & see what all the moma's used to build it. I have seen hair from a horses tail to tiny colorful fiber optic wires! This was weird to me, very flat & bigger twigs than you would've thought off! But, she did take advantage of a pair of my neon orange work gloves that was in the bottom of the basket also! Can't blame her for that one!

Help me name her...

...I ran across LaMont last Sat. while we we're washing the house. We'd gotten to this end & something wiggled in the straw. I told Jeff that something was around my feet & to get after w/ the water hose. He did and nothing came of it. I spotted him a hour or so later "sunning" on his rabbit!

This is my time of the year........minus the pollen! I love to try to remember where I planted something last year. It's very peaceful to me to scratch around in the dirt. Divide the ones that needs it. I can sniff a greenhouse from a mile away. I love them. =}
